Using CC2540 as a sniffer

Hi,

I have a Bluetooh Low Energy CC2540 Mini Development kit with me. My question is about can I use cc2540 USB Dongle as sniffer capturing device.

If it possible, can you explain me the procedure to bring it up as sniffer. I tried it by using smart_RF sniffer, but it didn't  detect cc2540 USB dongle.

    Hi Satessh,

    Have a look at the sniffer user guide (found here). The sniffer firmware is sniffer_fw_cc2540_usb.hex and is found in the default install directory (on my PC) C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\SmartRF Tools\Packet Sniffer\bin\general\firmware.
