CC2745R10-Q1: CC2745 flash & OTA memory arrangement

Part Number: CC2745R10-Q1

Hi team,

My customer ask some questions about flash size. Please help clarify. Thank you.

1. From CC2745R10 datasheet, Flash size is 1MB. However, the .map file only show length "0XE500" as below which is only 937KB. Are the remaining regions reserved for what kind of application ? (eg. CCFG, SCFG etc.)

OUTPUT FILE NAME:   <car_node.out>
ENTRY POINT SYMBOL: "resetISR"  address: 00048ccf

MEMORY CONFIGURATION

2. For the example of car_node project, it uses 345KB (0x0x569B5 as above). If customer want to use          A/B partition for OTA. Are the remaining flash space is enough for below items ?

  • Bootloader
  • Dual image (A/B)
  • OTA relating data (eg. Metadata)
  • Hi Jerry,

96kB will be reserved for the HSM, the rest of flash will be used for app, NV, etc.

Car node itself has some code in it that should not be considered in the full numbers (i.e. menu system, etc).

Overall, I don't see any immediate issue with the question on #2, but will obviously depend on the customers bootloader and OTA related data.
