CC2745P10-Q1: KeyStore Flash Address Offset error after SysConfig update

Part Number: CC2745P10-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

I'm trying to update from SDK simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_9_10_00_83 to simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_9_14_02_16.
SysConfig has also been updated from version 1.23.1 to 1.23.2, and I have confirmed that two new settings have been added to PSA Crypt + KeyStore.

When I opened SysConfig in version 1.23.2, "KeyStore Flash Address Offset" was set to 0xE6000, and building with this setting resulted in an error.
"The configured KeyStore flash region goes beyond the accessible flash addresses on the device."

I have a question about "KeyStore Flash Address Offset" setting.
If the ITS area is set to 32KB starting at 0x000E0000, and the KeyStore Flash Size is set to 10KB, where will the KeyStore area be placed in SDK 9.10?
Also, if I want to maintain the same map as 9.10 after updating to 9.14, what value should I set for "KeyStore Flash Address Offset"?

  • Hi Takuya-san,

Sincerely apologize for the late notice here. We had an issue on our end that led to missing some new threads. Is this question still open? If so, I'll make sure this is assigned immediately.

  • Hello Evan,

    This issue is still unresolved.
It would be helpful if you could assign someone to handle it and provide an answer.

  • Hi Takuya-san,

The offset for keystore should be based on the number of persistent keys that you want to store. The memory region for keystore is at the end of user-accessible flash just before the memory region for the HSM. If the number of keys is too large, then it will overlap with the memory region of the HSM and cause the error you are seeing.

For example, using the 2745P10-Q1 the HSM should be set at 0x00E8000 (end of usable flash). If you want to have 10KB of memory for keystore then your offset address should be 0x00E5800 to prevent an overlap.

This should align with the 9.10 SDK settings for 10KBs worth of keys.

    Best,
    Josh Alderson
