CC2340R5: HIgh current in lpn node

We measure high curret ~200uA in lpn provisioned node when device should be in the standby mode. No pereferals just buttons.
If provisioned lpn node powers up and friend nodes are not available there a very long time it is staying in active mode trying to find friend node.

We had found the issue. Originally, we used ADC to detect battery level and added CONFIG_ADC. Since we discovered CC2340 has internal resources to read battery level (which is not specified or activated within Zephyr), we'd removed all codes activating ADC driver and setting up ADC channel etc. So, we assumed ADC was not activated. But investigating and checking all pins we found one of the pins is still set as analog (this pin was grounded through resistor). After removing CONFIG_ADC and adding in overlay adc0 "disabled" current returned to the datasheet specified level. So, the main question is why wasn’t ADC put in the standby mode? And is there another way to read battery level rather than direct read of PMUD.BAT register 0x40006028?

Hey Michael,

It's surprising that the ADC is drawing power if it's not being used. Are you using the latest 9.20.00 Zephyr repo?

As for reading the battery level, the 2 main ways are either reading the PMUD.BAT register or using an ADC. An ADC can be more accurate but it depends on your implementation.

I'm using revision downloaded a month ago:

Release Zephyr 3.7.0-ti-9.14.02_ea · TexasInstruments/simplelink-zephyr.

Keep in mind that even I had CONFIG_ADC=y in the prj.config I never define

const struct device *adc_dev = DEVICE_DT_GET(ADC_NODE);

or initialize ADC in my code.

Does 9.20 release is available? 9.14 had some bugs with device tree.

Hey Michael,

What could be happening is setting CONFIG_ADC=y is causing it to be added to the dts or dtsi files. I will look into this.
