CC2745R10-Q1: function of Pin40, RFgnd

Part Number: CC2745R10-Q1

Hi,

if customer disconnect the Pin40 (floating), RFGND, will this only impact the RF performance? or will impact the chip functinality?

Supposed the thermal Pad is the GND of the chip and the RFGND only for RF core?

BR. Albin

  • Albin,

Pin40 (NC) is not internally connected to the die. If the customer leaves it floating it should have no effect on chip functionality and will have minimal effect on RF performance. We recommend connecting Pin 40 to GND to improve shielding of the RF pin from nearby VDDR pins. Let me know if you have any other questions.
