Stack V1.2 UBL Bootloader

Is the source code available for the new USB bootloader? I have downloaded V1.2 of the stack but it appears only to be provided as a .hex with a library file to include in the application to be loaded.

This is a problem for me as my applications do not use the same IO for the USB pull up - it is driven from an IO expander IC instead.

Thanks

  • Hi Michael,

If you are referring to the UBL (Universal Boot Loader) there is information in the Universal Boot Loader for SOC-8051 by USB-MSD Developer's Guide found at C:\Texas Instruments\BLE-CC254x-1.2\Documents.

In any way, both SBL (Serial Boot Loader) and UBL should be included as configurations in the HostTestRelease project (As stated in the release notes)

  • Hi Nick, yes I am referring to the UBL. I have read the documentation, but I guess the answer to my above question is no- the UBL source is not available?

If the source is available I would be able to make it work for my projects, but if not I will have to build my own USB bootloader.

  • Hi Michael,

Correct as far as I know, the UBL source is not available.
