Real data rate obtained in BLE

Hello,

before chosing any technology for my project, I'm in a design stage, and I want to know what is the real "experimental" data rate that we obtain with BLE ?? I read that the theoretical over the air data rate is 1Mb/s, but I read in some forums that we obtain up to 700kb/s, and the data rate (at the application layer) obtained is around 200 kb/s, so if someone have an experimental results, please share !!!

    Hi,

    the physical raw data rate is 1Mbps.

    Theoretically, you should be able to obtain around 250kbps (I think 236.7) with BLE, but it was not designed with this in mind. This is the same as in ZigBee. The technology should be able to provide this but the real implementations do not use to provide it.

    I think the TI BLE development kit can provide up to 8kbps. There are many threads in this forum which will give you more data.
