Hi all,

I am starting development using PAN1323ETU. I would like to know where I can find the specifications for this CC25xx chip. I need the specs so that I can find the commands I need to send to the device.

    Hi Simon:

    The PAN1323ETU accepts any standard BT standard HCI commands as set by Bluetooth SIG (www.bluetooth.org).

    Hi Arild,

    Thanks for your reply. I know that the PAN1323ETU accepts standard HCI commands. However I think that there are some vendor specific commands, which are used for example to select between BT, BLE and ANT. Is that correct?

    Hi all,

    Thanks for your replies. I went through the SDK to check for the vendor specific commands. I did find some of them in the vendor_specific_init.h header file.

    However I am finding this difficulty. I do know the VS command opcode, and the number of parameters they require. However, I do not know the what the parameters are, and what I should pass as a parameter. I apologize if I am missing something very simple here...

    In the MSP430BT5190_CC2560_Developers_Guide.pdf, page 122:

    "Refer to the documentation of the Bluetooth device to find out the details of available vendor specific commands."

    Is the detailed technical specification for the PAN1323 available somewhere?

    Simon,

    Why do you need to know all those details when the SDKs already do it for you? TI has done the integration to reduce customer issues.

    Hi Miguel,

    The reason I want to know these details is because I am using a C5515 DSP and not an MSP3430 MCU. At the moment TI does not provide an SDK for the C5515. I would like to built a custom system, with full control on the BT device and not use a generic profile.

    Simon,

    At this moment we don't support our CC256x devices outside of our standard platform. Our third partner, SSO, has its BT stack working on the C5000 DSPs. Would you like to contact them? Which profiles do you need?

    Miguel,

    I did contact SSO and we are in discussions. I do understand the fact that you do not offer support to certain devices. But at least there should be some document available which describes the technical functionality of a device which you sell to the public. All we need is a data sheet which can help us understand how to control the CC256x device at a lower level.

    I understand your concern and we are working on it. Unfortunately, at this moment we don't have all the information you are looking for.
