Hello,

I´m searching a sniffer for Bluetooth, like CC2540EMK-USB (sniffer for BLE based on CC2540 which I have got it). I don´t know if there any dongle or similar to capture Bluetooth packets. Can someone help me??Has anyone used one?

    Hi,

    As far as I'm aware, there is no Bluetooth USB dongle (not Bluetooth Low Energy) for sniffing Bluetooth packets. The CC2540EMK-USB is quite unique as a low cost Bluetooth Low Energy sniffer.

    Can the CC2540DK_Dongle USB sniff standard BLE packets from any chip, or is it only supporting TI chips somehow? I have the latest sniffer code, and I select  the dongle as a Capturing device, but I am receiving no packets.  It could be that I am not sending any, but just wanted to make sure it will sniff on any BLE system.

    Hi Jeff,

    The CC2540USB Dongle can be used to sniff any Bluetooth low energy communication. It might be that there is no activity over the air.
