Hi

I am looking for updated hex files for my cc2540 mini kit

in general is there a list (links) of latest hex files to program cc2540 mini kit for different purpose

to be specific

- what is the latest cc2540 usb dongle hex file to be used in BTool ( I use CC2540_USBdongle_HostTestRelease_All.hex from  April 12)

- what is the latest cc2540 usb dongle hex file to be used in SmartRF sniffer (I use sniffer_fw_cc2540_usb.hex from Nov 10)

- what is the latest cc2540 usb dongle hex file to be used in SmartRF studio7 (don't have a clue which one to use, it is not working with  CC2540_USBdongle_HostTestRelease_All.hex)

- is there an hex file that I can use the usb dongle in both BTool and SmartRF sniffer (and also SmartRF studio7)

- if not how I suppose to use SmartRF sniffer and control the cc2540 usb dongle (for example enable to connect to cc2540 client)

    Hi natanel,

    If you use the files in your "BLE-CC254x-1.2.1" Folder, they should work quite good.

    As far as I know SmartRF studio does not need a programmed CC2540 chip. You just need to take care to connect all CC-debugger signals you need. With the USB Dongle you must connect to USB and also connect to the CC-Debugger. 

    Why would you like to use the same hex- file for sniffer and btool? These are different applications and therefore different files.

    For sniffing and connecting to a client you would need a second USB dongle. One as a sniffer and the 2nd one as central device.
