Testing of BTLE Profiles on AM335X

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1835

Hi,

We want to test a PXP (Proximity Profile) on AM335X. We have updated the firmware for BTLE (using the BTS file) and ported the BlueZ stack (4.101) on to the board.

We are able to do BT LE connection with peer devices. But once we try to use the Proximity.Monitor interface we don't suceed.

Our understanding is that it is not happening since kernel does not support 'new mgmt' intrerface required by BlueZ for Profiles Communication.

Can anyone please help us how to test the PXP App without upgrading the kernel. Or provide us with kernel patch if available.

Regards

Vivek

  • Hi Vivek,

I need a help from you. Actually, I'm trying to bring up bluez on AM335x.

    SW: ti-sdk-am335x-evm-06.00.00.00

    bluez: 4.98

I've downloaded the build utilities to build images for wlan and BT (WL1835 module) as given in Wl18xx_wifi_build_process wiki link. Could you please list the steps you followed to bring up bluez on am335x evm?

Have you changed anything in kernel for BT to work? Defconfig changes?

    Thanks and Regards
