CC2540 pcb component

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540

Hi All,

I'm a beginner in CADSTAR, I want to create the new pcb which will use the cc2540

Anyone could help me to provide the cc2540 pcb component for the CADSTAR

  Thanks

  • Hello Rui,

Take a look in the CC2540 Product page http://www.ti.com/product/cc2540.

There is a section near the bottom called Reference Designs.  Inside there you will find zip files that contains designs for the , USB dongle and EB.  I'm not sure what CAD format it is in, but there are tools that allow you to import from one format to the other.

Below the Ref Design, there is the CAD/CAE which has the package symbol. Right beside that you can download the Ultra Libraian that allows you to convert to a format that is vendor neutral.

    Thanks

  • The design files are in Cadstar.

  • Hi Chatto

       Thank you for your reply

Would you mention where I can get the design file. I have the MiniDK pcb layout which download from TI website

       I'm using CADSTAR Express V13.

I have downloaded the ultralibrarian and CC2540_RHA_40.bxl file from TI

I can generate the xxx.cpa and xxx.csa, but when I use the CADSTAR to import it, it can't import into CARDSTAR

use the cadstar to import, it will generate the blank untitled.scm file. but it doesn't contain anything.

May be Cadstar express is the limited edition to import file.

  • I don't think you need to import the design files. You should be able to simply open the schematic and pcb files in the Cadstar express. I do believe that Cadstar express is limited with regards to options, but generation of the .csa and .cpa might not be one of them.

The biggest challenge you'd face is the libraries. The TI libraries are not available online and will not be distributed.

  • Hi Chatto

       Thank you for your suggestion

I will use the current keyfob schematic and pcb to do my design.

       Thanks
