CC2541 differential antenna

Is there a reference design for a differential antenna that works with CC2541? I'm looking for something similar to the antenna described in DN004, although that design doesn't list CC2541 and I believe the impedance doesn't match. That was the only differential 2.4GHz antenna I could find in the Antenna Selection Guide.

My goal is to use a simple antenna that does not require a balun.

Hi greenja,

Thanks for your reply. I should have mentioned, I can't use a directional antenna, nor an antenna so large. I was hoping there was an antenna similar to the folded dipole (small compared to the Yagi antenna) but with geometry that would make it compatible with the CC2541.
