Pairing with Windows 8 machines

I successfully managed to pair the KeyFobDemo hardware from TI with a Windows 8 machine.

However, when I attempt to pair the Sensor Tag hardware with the same Windows 8 machine, the process fails with a 'That didn't work' message from the GUI.

Does anyone know why the KeyFobDemo works, but the Sensor Tag fails?
