Any method to make advertising interval longer than 10.24 seconds

Hi,

I would like to have a way to set the advertising interval to longer than 10.24 seconds.. it could be as long as 15 minutes. The idea is the BLE device will be sitting in the background doing very long "ping" and will only revert to the normal advertising interval when an alarm condition occurs.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

You could have a separate timer event that would fire every 15 minutes, make the device discoverable for a few milliseconds then end discoverable.

I think you should not confuse the adv_timeout and adv_interval.

Hi Chris,

Sign Bit does not confuse with these two. I fully agree with Sign Bit. You can add extra event to fire every 15 minutes and make the device discoverable for a few milliseconds then end discoverable.
