Changing Transmission power level in Bluetopia stack

I am using PAN1326 in our design with Bluetopia stack. I have to vary the transmission power level and receiver sensitivity. I have tried the Vendor specific function provided in the BTVS folder along with the stack ,ie VS_Set_Max_Output_Power(). But i cant find any visible changes in the range we are getting. Can any one help with some method to change the TX power and Receiver sensitivity.

Hi,

For BLE, the output power is set to 12dBm in our device. For BT, the output power changes between the power levels during regular operation using power control See Vol 2, Part A Ch.3 of the BT specs: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_Forum_Guidelines_and_FAQs#Where_can_I_find_HCI_commands_specification.3F

Thanks for the reply. In our custom made board (PAN1326), we are facing some range issues that's why we are planning to make the transmission power maximum and trying to get the maximum range possible. In our reference board(PAN1323) we are getting around 11 meter range between board to board, I know this is very less. But in our prototype(PAN1326) we are getting around only 7 meter. That's why we are trying to increase the range by software configuration of TX power and Rx sensitivity. We are using Bluetopia stack (V 1.3)

Can you suggest some methods to increase the range?
