Hello,
i must design some applications for smartphones using TI chips and modules. i made some researches
i have some questions about some technology and product about ti bluetooth low energy SoC (CC2540,41)
or bluetooth modules((CC2560,64)). In short, i want to use these modules with all mobile phones Operating Systems like Windows 8, Android , and Apple OS.
1. There are 2 types of new BLE name roughly. Bluetooth Smart(BLE only-Single Mode) and Bluetooth Smart Ready(Bluetooth classic and BLE->Dual Mode ) and
- For android side, Android says ->BLE api available starting in Android API version 18(in few months).
In this situation, before API version 17(included), if i use CC2560 or 64(with classic bluetooth), can i connect to and transfer data from old ALL android powered devices? or will be there any problems sometimes?
- there are some smart phones models like Samsung S3 or Motorola RAZR or having Bluetooth 4.0. But if i use CC2540 or 41 for BLE , Should i use separate bluetooth stacks for these types of smartphones with Android? As much as i understand, Motorola and Samsung Companies give additional bluetooth stacks for their platforms?
- if i make an application for Windows Phone 8, can i use CC2540, CC2541? or Should i use CC2560 or 64 for backward compatibility for classic bluetooth? Because when i looked at nokia developer sections, it says : "
Warning: Windows Phone 8 currently does not support Bluetooth Low-energy as part of the proximity framework."

2. if i want to use CC2540, CC2541, i must use iar 8051 8.10 or above for compling BLE stack.
but is there any chance for compiling BLE stack with iar 8051 7.6 compiler?
Thanks in advance
Best Regards
