Hello,
My initial understanding of the CC2541 was that AVCC and DVCC we brought out separately so that I/O could be run at a different logic level than the AVCC supply. This would allow, for instance, a 3.0V logic level on the I/O while taking advantage of the current savings of powering AVCC with 2.1V during transmit. http://www.ti.com/tool/cc2541-tps62730em-rd
Correct me if I’m wrong, but if DVCC and AVCC need to be at the same voltage level and the tps6730 is utilized, it must also mean that logic levels to I/O on the CC2541 would need to switch logic levels ( from 3.0V to 2.1V) along with AVCC to prevent damage to the C2541 I/O. This would require either a level shifter or some other means of shifting I/O logic levels. Is this assumption correct?
Thanks for your help.
