CC2540 F256 stops advertising after 3-4 seconds when not in IAR debug mode

I started out with the SimpleBLEBroadcaster. I adjusted the example a bit to fit my needs but now I am experiencing a problem with the CC2540 stopping advertising after a few seconds. Weird enough, everything works perfectly fine while in IAR debug mode. But if I plug the USB dongle without the debugger, it just stops.

Did anyone experience that? Any ideas what the problem could be?
