I want to connect the CC2540 to an OLED Display via SPI but am unclear on where to start. Is this even possible ?

Is there a display people might recommend ?\

I'd like to be able to do this without a microcontroller.

You can refer to hal_lcd.c and hal_lcd.h. Also, you can trace it using SimpleBLECentral in BLE stack examples.

I want to do the exact same thing in relation to a school project.

How did it work out for you ? - If you (or anyone) can point me in some direction it would be helpfull ...

I will be programming the CC2540 in Embedded Workbench using SmartRF05 EB.
