cc2541 iBeacon

I was able to create and flash a version of the iBeacon firmware for the CC2541 by myself, the device is work how it is supposed to however the battery on the device seems to die very quickly and was wonder is any one has any idea on how to fix this issue?

Hello Sunny,

TI does currently not have iBeacon code on web. Did you get this from http://embeddedc.co.uk/cc2540-ibeacon/ ?

Please ask the question to the developer of the code that you used or try to start a new thread that gives more information about where you got the code you are using so that other forum users with the relevant knowledge can find the thread and possibly help you out.

How often do you advertise? Did you modify the advertisement data to absolute minimum? Did you disable scanRspData?
