Programming CC2541 and Antenna

I am going to start a project with the CC2541 and I have a couple of questions that don't seem to have been directly answered in these forums.

1) What should I use to program the CC2541? I know I could use the CC Debugger, but is it possible to program the CC2541 through the CC2540 USB dongle module? If so, how would I go about doing this? In addition, which one is preferred or more efficient?

2) Do I have to follow the different schematics for PCB and SMA antennas? The first picture shows the schematic for an SMA antenna while the second pic shows the schematic for a PCB antenna from the sensor tag. Will any SMA antenna work as long as it's in the 2.4GHz range? What about a chip antenna like the W3008 (http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Pulse/W3008/?qs=zks35mai6wPZzmB9UUEm6A==) or the Fractus (http://www.fractus.com/sales_documents/FR05-S1-N-0-102/UM_FR05_S1_N_0_102.pdf) Which schematic should I follow?

Hi,

I have similar question. So I am raising in same thread.

I am working on project which uses CC2541 module and it is powered by coin cell. I referred Gas sensor evm board to design the same module as a single PCB.In functionality wise my Bluetooth module will send data to Host machine and go back to power save mode i.e sleep mode.

Related to this i have few questions here.

1. As I have to complete over all design in less than 3cm diameter. Is it be possible to design Bluetooth circuit in top layer and battery circuit in bottom layer?

2. I am planning to replace PCB antenna by Chip antenna(it will again save PCB size).

But as per the antenna datasheet it says antenna will consume 2W max input power. As my device should work at least for 2 moths of duration, Is it feasible to use chip antenna here?

I have searched some more and found something:

The CC2541 postage stamp design (http://www.ti.com/tool/cc2541-postage-stamp-rd). The reference design (http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/tidr203a/tidr203a.pdf) which uses the 2450AT42A100E(http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/2450AT42A100E/712-1007-6-ND/1560994?noredir=).

Would any of the aforementioned antennas be a suitable replacement for the 2450AT? The 2450AT is expensive compared to the others.
