CC2540 BLE stack: coding vs performance

http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/538/p/314465/1093960.aspx#1093960

Thanks for Aslak answering the question on the above post, but I would like to know more about BLE stack. Therefore i create another post.

Now I know i could put something on periodic session but i would like to clarify something.

1. I would like to know whether the bluetooth part is affected if i put a task that takes a long time to finish.

2. Is it just increased the power consumption if I shorten the periodic time (SBP_PERIODIC_EVT_PERIOD)?

3. As I saw a post in the forum, it is something about building a SPI driver. The reply is negative until one of the TI employee said ble stack 1.3.1 is now support SPI.  Could I say that the osal and hal restricted the development or the use ofCC2540

Best Regards
