CC2541 in small body

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2541

We work on extremely small product and have working prototype. CC2541 has body lenght of 7mm and power consumption around 18mA  are huge in our context. We have been working a lot to reduce everything. Prototype is 7.6mm wide and power usage is also minimized.

Every competitor has smaller size body version. Every competitor has smaller consumption version of similar chip. We assumed TI soon comes up with competing product but meanwhile also started conversion to competitor one because 2,5x2,5mm is really more sexy when our target is to stay in 3mm size.

Now TDK announced BLE module using CC2541 chip with size 4.6 mm x 5.6 mm. What? Module is smaller than chip it is using? Re-checked CC2541 page. Still this old 40 pin big package only.

In video uploaded by TI we can see new module http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvbgA3g9QZs

TI guys, where to get this small chip? Module is huge for us.
