I am new to the cc2564 world but have experience working with the cc254x series. I am beginning to develope a dual mode Bluetooth project that can stream aduio. I have a the BT_MSPAUDSINK reference design eval kit. I can't get my PC to see the board. What am I missing, why doesn't my PC see the board? Is there a driver I should be using? I have followed the wiki page instructions but I seem to be missing something.

Where is the best place for me to start to get familiar with the stack, sample projects, HCI comms, etc.?

Ben,

Could you describe the Bluetooth module that you are using and the steps that you tried? We have had no issue with connecting the MSP sink with our PC and Phones.

I am using the "Bluetooth + MSP430 Audio Sink Reference Design", BT_MSPAUDSINK. I have downloaded the programs/info that the kit recommended, but I still seem to be on the wrong track.

Should my PC recognize this board when it it connected to my PC?

Ben,

Could you make sure that you are following all the steps in the Quick Start Guide here?. If you did flash the software to the board, could you make sure that in IAR that the Debug A3DP Snk Board Configuration is selected and the "__SUPPORT_CC256XB_PATCH__" patch is defined?

Maybe I'm not presenting my question the right way. I have always been able to get the eval board to stream audio from a portable device, but I would like to open up a sample application and program the eval board with modifications for development purposes. Is this even a possibliity?

Ben,

You can program the eval board with modifications. However, Code Composer Studio is not supported. You would have to use IAR for this.
