Can I use 2 lines UART in PTM mode?

I am working on PTM mode on CC2541 keyfob application. To support PTM, I need to save pins for UART interface.

When flow control is enabled, UART needs 4 lines.

I wonder for PTM mode, can I disable UART flow control, so that I can save 2 pins for UART interface?

Is there any requirement regarding to UART flow control in PTM mode?

Hi Jack,

If you are using POWER_SAVING, you must use four pin so that the wake-up mechanism can be used. If you want to use 2 pin, disable POWER_SAVING within the Software project.

Also, make sure your Tester has disabled flow control.
