Powering CC2541 from regulated 1.8V supply

According to datasheet the minimal voltage is 2.0V which is regulated internally to 1.8V using an internal LDO and decoupling capacitor on pin 40. Is it possible to power the chip directly with a regulated 1.8V supply and bypassing the internal LDO by connecting pin 40 to VDD?

    Hello bit123,

    Pin 40 is the 1.8V connection that supplies most of the digital portion of the chip.  A small portion of the digital and all of analog portion of the chip must get at least 2.0V to perform properly so your suggestion will not work.
