Running TestHostApp on USB-Dongle-CC2540 to test OAD

If the communication between pc and dongle is lost due to power or other, then this may be problem. I would take dongle out, place back in so you see red LED, then start dev mon. If it still doesn't work, try downloading 1.4 stack and using the default USBHosttestImage there.

I tried uploading that new F/W to the USB Dongle with no luck.  I still get bombarded with the same error until the BLE Device monitor crashes.

Could this be an issue with the BIM on the device im trying to OAD to?   I've followed all the steps in the OAD guide and still coming up blank as to what this issue could be.  Could someone tell me exactly what this error means: Command Stat: 40 FD86 [len=0] .  Please advise.  Thanks

I have the same issue, but the error message is Command Stat: 40 FDB6 [len=0] (not FD86).
I use BLE stack 1.4 and the SimpleBLEPeripheral project.

I do OAD using BLE device monitor

"Wait 5-10 seconds after connect before you go into the OAD item on the file menu"

It works for me.

I tried that, unfortunately I still get the same error
