Facing problem with bluetooth connection establishment

Hi All,

We are designing product using third party Bluetooth low energy module. We have used TPS62233 buck converter to power up the board.

We are able to establish connection between two devices when we use LM317 regulator output as power source to TPS62233, but at the same time if we use Li-Poly/Li-Ion battery as power source, the devices are not able to establish the connection, though the batteries are new and fully charged.

Can any please suggest me how can we resolve this issue.

Check the current consumption. A coin cell can only output a certain level for so long. If the device has a high consumption rate, the coin cell wont be able to produce enough power to turn on the radio. If you don't have a way to measure current, check the coin cell battery's voltage while in use. You will notice a significant drop (3V => ~1.8V)

Thanks for your quick reply.

The device is working decently with coin cell, the problem we are facing with Li-Ion battery.
