I have a product requirement for six battery powered sensors to send data to a wall outlet powered central.  We are looking at the CC2541 for the sensor modules and the central.  The problem is the number of connections the central can maintain.  From what I see in postings that number is four for stack version 1.4.0 on the CC2541.  Is this correct?  Will one of the other devices (CC2564) handle more connections?  Then we would use the CC2541 for the sensors and a CC2564 as the central.

    The CC2541 only allows 3 simultaneous connections as a central. Depending on your application, it might be possible to quickly connect, receive data, and disconnect from the peripherals while never maintaining more than 3 simultaneous connections.

    The CC2564 can handle up to 7 simultaneous connections.
