BT-MSPAUDSINK-RD: IAR compile errors

Hi All,

I use IAR Embedded Workbench IDE tool version 6.10.2 to compile the IAR porject A3DPDemo_SNK for bt-mspaudsink-rd in directory:

C:\TI\Connectivity\CC256X BT\CC256x MSP430 Bluetopia SDK\v1.4 R1\MSP430_Experimentor\Samples\A3DPDemo_SNK\Projects\IAR

I select the A3DP SNK Board release configuration. When I compile the codes I got 32 errors related to linking as following:

Linking
Error[e46]: Undefined external "BSC_Shutdown" referred in A3DPDemo_SNK ( C:\TI\Connectivity\CC256X BT\CC256x MSP430 Bluetopia SDK\v1.4 R1\
MSP430_Experimentor\Samples\A3DPDemo_SNK\Projects\IAR\Release - A3DP SNK Board\Obj\A3DPDemo_SNK.r43 )

What setups I need to do to fix these errors?

Hi,

Please check if the below libraries are include in linker-> extra options

-C $PROJ_DIR$\..\..\..\..\Bluetopia\lib\IAR\LargeMTU\libBluetopia.a
-C $PROJ_DIR$\..\..\..\..\Bluetopia\profiles\A3DP\lib\IAR\libSS1BTA3D_C.a

Hi Sundeep,

It works. You should have the codes work right out of the box or you may get more questions from people like me.

Hi Henry,

Thanks for the update and you inputs.

The Code works out of the box with the IAR I am using. I think there is a problem with the latest IAR in importing the project.

Hi Sundeep,

Normally I use TI tools including the CodeComposer, the TI Uniflash, ... for many of TI projects. Using IAR tool is another cost of money! So if you guys can port this BT-MSPAUDSINK-RD to the CodeComposer, we users really appreciate it. By the way, I did copy the SDK to Windows 8, and it works OK.

Hi Henry,

Thanks you, It is good to know the copying the SDK to Windows8 works.

The CCS compression is not as good as IAR, so the output binary size exceed the flash size and does not fit in to the audio sink board.

We wanted to reproduce libraries issue on our side and fix it for making it work right out of box.

For this can you please provide me the IAR version you are using.

Hi Sundeep,

It's the latest IAR version for MSP430:

IAR Embedded Workbench for MSP430 IDE, including complete build chain and debugger, version 6.10.2

IAR Embedded Workbench common components, version 7.0.5.3137

I downloaded the 30 days trial version 3 days ago. Please let me know if you need more information. If you port the project to CCS, you have more control over it.
