CC256x to implement true wireless ?

Hello,

We are developing wireless stereo speakers and planning to use CC256x and MSP430c chip set, question is, can we implement a pair of true wireless speakers(no wire between two) and stream audio from smartphone? sth like CSR's true wireless.

appreciate any input.

Hi,

I am not familiar with the CSR true wireless.

Using CC256x can act as audio sink, and we have a audio sink board(MSP430F5229 + CC2564B). which can demo this feather.

Hi,

The BT A2DP profile (www.bluetooth.org/.../DownloadDoc.ashx defines two roles: Source and Sink.

Source (SRC) – A device is the SRC when it acts as a source of a digital audio stream that is delivered to the SNK of the piconet.
Sink (SNK) – A device is the SNK when it acts as a sink of a digital audio stream delivered from the SRC on the same piconet.

You can also take a look at Figure 2-2 in the A2DP spec.
