CC2540 Firmware for EN 300 328 testing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2540, CC2541

Hi Everyone,

We have developed a product using the reference design and the CC2540 chipset. We are now at the stage of going through regulatory radio testing and have been told that we need to put the radio into various modes that may be non standard in terms of functionality.  E.g. we need to set the radio to receive only or transmit only. Then we also need to be ably operate in CW mode, and hopping mode fixed on the highest middle and lowest channel.

Do TI provide any firmware to put the chip into these states?  Or has anyone written anyfirmware to do this?  I am sure this is quite a common requirement if this is required for all reg testing?

Please help as we have testing scheduled very soon!

Thanks

Rob

  • I'm pursuing this also, for a product based on the cc2541 reference design.

My understanding is that it can be achieved with HostTestApp firmware and BTool which can be found in the accessories folder of the SDK.

I'm currently trying to get BTool to talk to my board. Discussion here:
