Comparing (free) Stonestreet BLE stack vs ($250) Stonestreet BLE stack vs TI BLE stack

Hi,

I am interested in running BLE stack on TI CC256x devices and wanted to understand differences between following BLE stacks:

1) Stonestreet provided BLE stack from TI link for free - http://www.ti.com/tool/stonestreetone-bt-sdk

2) Stonestreet provided BLE stack for evaluation for $250 from -

http://embeddedsoftwarestore.com/store/em/SearchCommand?action=Product&langId=-1&catalogId=500201&storeId=500201&R=5004402783370

3) TI BLE Stack for free - http://www.ti.com/tool/ble-stack

Note I am not interested in classic BT (BR/EDR) mode. My interest is primarily in BLE stack and would like to understand differences between above and licensing implications.

Thanks,

PB

  • Just to add more details - I am also looking for differences in implementations (types of profiles supported etc). For example Proximity Profile (PXP) is not supported by Stonestreet One provided BLE stack on TI website for free for CC256x but seems to be available on their evaluation $250 version.

Can Stonestreet stack run on CC254x devices or TI BLE stack run on CC256x devices?
