Hi all.

We are testing the SimpleBLEPeripheral project and we need to calculate the distance between iPad and KeyFob CC2541.

We want to know this:

-Which parameters affects to the RSSI value? We think that we must know the Emission Power and the battery live percent.

-How can i set the emission power to an unalterable value?

-Which differents emission power values can i set?

The transmission power value affects RSSI value. And that you can adjust by setting different possible values in TXPOWER register. You can refer "http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/swrs110d/swrs110d.pdf" for different possible transmit power value.

But i also want to know if the battery affect the tx power emission. Dbe is Watios, and Watios depends also of the voltage.

If the coin cell battery lose some power affects to the emission?

I am not sure, but it should not affect till certain percentage i.e. may be till 10%. This need to be verified practically.

Input voltage does not affect output power on this device because te PA is operating on a regulated 1.8V voltage.

It's important to remember that multipath fading effects will contribute significantly to variations in the RSSI, so it is good to take some averaging of the values.
