BTool install fail

Dear,

I buy a CC2541 Mini Develop kit. I have install BLE-CC254x-1.4.0 done, and then I install BTool. when install BTool I get a error message and interrupt the installation.

Error message "Key not valid for use in specified state".

my OS is Windows 8.0. Does any one know what's wrong? Thanks.

    Hello Prudence,

    It sounds like a security key issue.  You may have to delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER reference to the software and then reinstall.  I use WinXP for development so there are no issues with BLE.

    You can try downloading an older version of BLE-Stack 1.3 and install that version of BTool or try the Device Monitor instead. http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/swrc258.
