CC256X without using an experimenter board

Hi All,

I'm working on a project that will ultilize the CC256X as a BLE server with maintain 10 Client BLE connections. Is there a way to program and use the CC256X Bluetooth / Dual Mode Evaluation Module without using an experimenter board?

If not, I hear I can only establish one BLE connection at a time while using an experimenter board. Is there a work around so the CC256X Evaluation Module can maintain 10 Client BLE connections?

Hi,

The CC256x requires a host to run the BT stack, eg. MSP430 or Tiva C.

Regarding the 10 BLE conenctions, the CC256x is capable of handling these scenario in a Master mode.

Hi Miguel,

Do you know if the BT stack can be ran off a different MCU? If possible I was planning on using my own 16bit MCU along with some audible speakers, LCD display, and push buttons to connect and disconnect clients.

Hi Forrest,

Seems like bluetopia stack is provided only for MSP430 and Tiva processors (TI Products), To use the cc256x with another controller, we'll have to use some other opensource stack. I was also stuck at the same point and decided to not to get into RnD of this and switched to a MSP430 processor.
