1)   Is it possible to implement it with HOGP?
2)   If implemented with HID, does it support Digitizer Tablet? Also, can it be implemented with low power?
3)   Please check if HID Digitizer Tablet is supported on smart phones, too.

Hi,

Now, I'm trying to connect CC2564+TIVA M4+CC256x M4 Bluetopia SDK v1.2 HIDDemo to Android phone. I use the TIVA M4 as a Device, but my phone can't find the board when scaning. The same thing happens when using an iPhone5.

does somewhere get wrong?

Hi,

I have just tried it on my side, I did not face any problem in connecting to android phone. On version 1.2 R2.

I have just selected Device in the Select Mode options and "SetLocalName hidDevice" and scaned and connected from my android phone. Also see http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC256x_MSP430_Bluetopia_Basic_HIDDemo_APP

If you are using CC2564B device, make sure you applied the below patch, http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/TIVA_Bluetopia_Basic_Demo_APPS#CC256XB_Information

Thanks for your detailed reply, I have successfully connected my phone with CC2564 following your guiding.

what's more, some phone can only pair with the module but can't connect, is that because the phone dosen't support bluetooth HID profile？

and, is there any commands for the module to work like an keyboard or mouse? i just find the "DataWrite".

Hi,

All I can say is if the phone does not support HID, you will not be able to connect.

The HID sample is for a HID mouse. You will need to change the descriptor and report in the application to configure it as a Keyboard.

You can run the DataWrite command to move the cursor. Example you can try the below and see the cursor moving

HID Device>DataWrite 1 20
HID_Data_Write: Function Successful.

HID Device>DataWrite 1 400
HID_Data_Write: Function Successful.

I'd like to learn more about the datawrite command. “DataWrite 1 20" is to move the cursor to right, but how to move to left? i need to write it by myself?

and, could you place share me more about changing the descriptor and report in the application to configure it as a Keyboard?

These two descriptors make the board be configured as a keyboard or mouse.

The third walue makes difference. The first bit of the value is a sign bit. When it is a positive number, such as 0x50, which is equal to 0b01010000,it is going to move right. Oppositely, when it is a negative nember, such as 0x90, which is equal to 0b10010000, it is going to move left.

Hi,

You use the CC2564+MSP430 as a Device, then you should scan from your phone which works as a host.

As for RSSI, you can read more about the wiki.
