I have seen in recent posts that MFi will be supported by TI at some point on AM35x processors. I'm wondering if there is any estimates of when MFi support will be available for MSP430 Bluetopia stack.
I have inherited a project from another engineering firm that uses an SPP link to either Android or iOS devices using an older version of the Bluetopia stack. I am having connectivity issues with the newer iOS devices (iPad with Retina, iPhone 5, etc.). I though upgrading to the latest firmware version might help, but after downloading the latest version, I discovered that the MFi portions of the code are not included.
Is there a plan for interim support for existing MFi enabled devices while waiting "a few months" for a release?
Thanks,

Hi,
Yes, that is the plan. If you have MFI support related question specific to CC256x then you can contact Shastry, Jay <shas3@ti.com> for more details on MFI support.
In general I think you should be able to connect to all the apple devices. with some tweaking in the demo apps available. For example see the below link.
Hi Kevin
As MFi is under NDA, I guess it's not possible to provide support for MFi in a public download.
If MSP430 Bluetopia doesn't suit your current need, please have a look at our BTstack. We just finished a first but working implementation of the External Accessory protocol (i.e. SPP for iOS devices).
