Num_HCI_Command_Packets (CC2540, software stack 1.4.0)

Hello,

I have a problem that is very similar to this previous question, whereby Num_HCI_Command_Packets is always returning as '0':

I have a couple of questions:

Will this modification become available in a future release of the BLE software stack, and if so, when is that likely to be?
If I just ignore/override the returned value of '0' for Num_HCI_Command_Packets, would this also work as a short-term solution, or does the BLE software stack *need* the suggested modification to work properly?

Hi Richard,

1. Yes, this should be fixed in the future releases.

2. BLE stack should work fine if you ignore this field. Only issue I can see is if our device is used as a network processor and using a host such as BlueZ on Linux that checks for the field.

Thanks for the response. Re: 2, I'm using Android and have modified it's code to override/ignore the returned value, seems to work!
