CC256x without bluetooth

Hi,

I'm writing to you to ask some questions. I'm interested in using CC256x transceiver. I'll use it to implement a cubesat High speed link. I want to know If it's possible to use it without using Bluetooth. I will make my own protocol and I need a transceiver with the same specifications that this transceiver have.

Is it posible?

Hi,

Depends on the what is the TP you are expecting? CC256x can work with Bluetooth and Bluetooth low energy. I hope you already know that BT speed is higher than BLE.

I expenct about 2Mbps. I'm looking for a transceiver low power consumption and sentivity -90dbm. If I used this CC256x I must use bluethoot protocol?

Hi,

Yes, for achieving 2Mbps you will need to use Bluetooth, you can achieve 2Mbps on the radio (CC256x) directly without any stack.
Mind that TP depends on the many things like stack, application and environment, the application can slow down the effective TP.
