Hi,

I am gearing up to program a CC2541 based bluetooth module. I went to following link

It seems like "Network Processor" is what I want. Pre built image is available and no IAR programming is required and its a standard API.

I have got a CC debugger and I am ready to program. But I am unable to find the firmware file that will program the CC2251 as SPI bus or as UART.

Does someone know where is it? and any word of caution before I program the unit.

The pre-built images can be found in this directory: C:\Texas Instruments\BLE-CC254x-1.4.0\Accessories\HexFiles

The file "CC2541_SmartRF_HostTestRelease_All.hex" implements the network processor with UART interface.

Thanks. you are right. I just did that. I want to interface CC2541 to a PIC. Please tell me what shoud I do next. What kind of program I need on the microchip'*** side to talk to CC22541?

Hi Melissa,

You could use BTool on your PC to interface with HostTestApp running on CC2541 .
This will give an idea how to use the HCI commands from the external MCU.

Here is an example implementation of MSP430 + CC2541

For implementing HCI commands, one option is to look at an open source BT Host stack. A good embedded reference is btstack: code.google.com/.../btstack

Hi,

Its so fascinating to see that how TI i sbeing sucessful in making people come together and work as a team and help each other out. TI's products make people suffer so much that they make groups, blogs and support forums to help each other out.

Its not TI employee who stand behind the products but its non employees who stand behind TI's products because they do not want other people people to suffer the way they suffer and wasted their time.

A company can not stand for a long time with integrity when there own people can not stand by their own products.
