I would like to double check if it is currently possible for a keyfob with 1.4.0 firmware to act simultaneously in central and peripheral mode.

If not what are the solutions:

Solution1: Is BLE4.1 able to manage this use case and if there any firmware update available (or in the roadmap) available ?

Solution2: Is BLE4.2 the alternative (if BLE4.1is not the solution). And if there any roadmap for a TI BLE4.2 device ?

    As I know, Peripheral and Central role cannot be run at the same time. TI has policy not to reveal roadmap in public forum. If you need TI BLE roadmap, I suggest you to contact TI local representative.

    Hi Fred,

    As YK states, simultaneous central / peripheral roles are not supported in BLE-Stack 1.4.0. However, there is an example on the BLE Wiki on how to switch between Slave & Master using the Keyfob & BLE Stack 1.4.0: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../MasterSlaveSwitchV1_4
