CC26XX Memory Protection Unit

What do you mean by memory protection? The CC26xx series already has features to lock the memory from external readouts, to secure the content.

I'm not focused on external readouts, but rather on process isolation. In lieu of an actual memory management unit, ARM Cortex M0+, M3, and M4 have an optional Memory Protection Unit (MPU) that allows sections of memory to be flagged as R/W, No Execute, No R/W, etc. by a kernel in supervisor mode. Then if user code writes to these addresses, a memory protection fault occurs and an interrupt hands control back to the kernel.

Other TI SoCs, such as the CC2538 include the MPU, which is extremely helpful for embedded operating systems.

The CC26XX/CC13XX series does not have a MPU due to cost constraints.
