I want to actually use my cc3200+ a bluetooth module to detect beacons. I don't want it to be a beacon I want it to find beacons and trigger actions based on their presence and distance from my launchpad. I cannot find examples anywhere. I can't be the only person that wants to use beacons without a phone/linux board. My use doesn't require high level positioning. Just similar detection methods seen with phones (immediate, near, far).
With that in mind, can a smart module be set up to detect other smart modules in beacon mode or do you need to use a smart ready module to detect smart modules?
