CC2640 Chip Antenna Solution

Has anyone found a chip antenna that is useable with the CC2640? I still need to source a Balun since the Murata one is unavailable, but I would like to avoid printing the antenna on the PCB.

I was looking at this one (2450AT18B100) from Johanson Technology.

    Hi TJ,

    Any 50 ohm, 2.4 GHz chip antenna will work with the CC2640. I would recommend going directly to the antenna manufacturers for best advice on what would fit your application.

    The balun from Murata is available as samples. Please contact Murata directly for this. For prototyping with reduced performance other baluns with same footprint can be used. For small designs you can also consider the single ended output option.
