[Code setting in Consumer Control for only using Volume+]

Dear TI, As the HID consumer control code is having all the details of HID devices to be used. I only want to use the Volume+ control for my application. Please suggest me the required changes in "Consumer Control report" for only using Volume+ control ? Please suggest. Thanks, /Ash

    Hello. You will need to modify the HID report descriptor map so that only the volume descriptors exist. You will also need to modify the GATT service char acteristics in the same manner. A good place to start would be the HIDAdvRemote application as this already contains the volume descriptor / characteristic. The report map is defined by the hidReportMap[] variable in hidkbmservice.c and the characteristic table is defined by hidAttrTbl[]. More information can be found in the HID, HID-over-GATT, and Bluetooth 4.0 specs. The software developer's guide may also be helpful for the attribute table modification. This guide is included with the installer.
