Rencently, I read 'TI Bluetooth Low Energy Training, October 2013' by Greg Stewart. When I read the HOGP attribute table, And I can understand most of that table, which can been seen from the comment in that table as following attachment. But I have a few question about that table, namely why all the values of client characteristic configuration in every characteristic are set to 0x009E? Does 0x009E has special functions? Any attention will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Uda,

I'm not sure about that chart, but I just connected to the CC2541 mini DK keyfob using the HIDEmuKbd project. I don't see the 0x009E value. Please see GATT table in attached screen shot.

Hi,

For our examples HidAdvRemote and HIDEmuKbd for CC2541 the client characteristic configurations are initialized to 0, and cleared whenever disconnecting. So I'm really not sure why you see 0x009E if you have not written it yourself. Nothing else than 0x0000 and 0x0001 make sense for the client characteristic configuration.

What project and platform are you using? From the table it looks that you could be using the AdvRemote?

I got that chart in this file 'www.bluetooth.org/.../L2_Bluetooth_Low_Energy_Technical_Deep_Dive_GREG.PDF', I believe the valid value of client characteristic configuration is either 0x0001 or 0x0002 too. Thanks for your reply. Now I think i make it out.
