How is it possible to detect the act of inserting (or remove) usb to pc by code?

I'am using the "HostTestRelease" project.

Hello. I assume that this means your device is not powered by USB. Otherwise, you could just base this decision on whether or not your code is running.

If you are not powered by USB, you could know when the CC2540 is inserted by monitoring the usbirqHandler() function. To tell when the CC2540 is removed, you could implement a timer which will time out if a data transmission is interrupted (during data transmission) or you stop receiving suspend signals (during suspend).

There may be better ways to do this. The USB controller is detailed in the chip user's guide: www.ti.com/.../swru191

Hi Nicola,

Can you advise if the solution proposed by monitoring the usbirqHandler is sufficient? This assumes your CC2540 is not powered by USB and is powered / executing code prior to the USB plug event.

After, I'm detectiong when the USB is diconnected. How?
