How can a smartphone scanned by a Bluetooth device?

Hi everyone,

I want to use a bluetooth device to scan a smartphone via bluetooth. That is to say, a smartphone acts as a peripheral. I know that we should install an APP, eg. , lightblue, firstly, if we want to do this via BLE. But how can I do if I just want to do it with the Classic Bluetooth?

Hi Nancy,

I'm not aware of such support with classic BT. You might have better luck posting your question in a dedicated smartphone forum.

For BLE, yes, you can use LightBlue on iOS to make the iOS device operate in the Peripheral role. Another iOS device running the same app can then scan and optionally connect to the iOS peripheral device.
